School body fined £8,000 following ‘serious failings’ in fire safety 01/10/2009

Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire Authority has successfully prosecuted the governing body of St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Chalfont St Peter for breaching fire safety regulations. The governing body was fined £2,250 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £5,750. more info

Punch Pub Company guilty of fire safety breaches 03/09/2009

A national pub group has been ordered to pay over £17,000 in fines and costs after pleading guilty to serious breaches of fire safety legislation following a prosecution brought by the London Fire Brigade. Punch Pub Company Limited (formerly known as Spirit Group Limited) admitted guilt on two contraventions of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Church pleads guilty to fire safety offences 28/07/2009
